Re: Classical Music

Piano would be cool but my friend's teacher scares me off it cause he wants my mate to play around 12 hours a day (somehow!!!). Though he is bloody amazing in concert and is one of the most spectacular people I've ever heard at improv.

Re: Classical Music

Being a classically trained musician (violin and cello) I have so much respect for classical music. I do listen to the popular classical songs like "Air on the G String" and the wedding hit "Canon in D."

Re: Classical Music

Classical music is on the base of many known games' companies. They say it's also associated with math understanding ability.
Some also say that people do need to hear/feel something different when they are in different contexts, or else they can go nuts!

Well, it's all about context anyway... I've never fallen asleep with rock.

Re: Classical Music

I love classical music aswell. one that automatically pops into my mind is 'the phantom of the opera', big favourite.

I also like orchestral covers of rock and metal songs, e.g. nightwish' 'the poet and the pendulum' orchestral version.

oh and I also string orchestras and cello quartets. and really big symphony orchestras.

Re: Classical Music

Classical is awesome, Just listen to the originals of Mozart it's amazing to the more contempary of say John Williams' orchestra work it can be relaxed and also totally rousing.

Re: Classical Music

I think all music deserves some respect especially older-unpopular genres like classical. I mean if it weren't for these musical geniuses we probably never would've got as far as we've come. There might not be any rock to make forums about if it wasn't for what some of the guys wrote centuries ago. Plus Beethoven was deaf

But I hate playing it on the piano. I think I'm pretty good but i prefer to play along to the chords of "Dream On"
